Discussing Patent Validity and Trade Secret Practices Between Korea and China

On March 18, 2025, Lee International participated as a guest speaker at the “Practical Guide to Overseas IP Protection for Enterprises” seminar held in Shanghai. During the session, the firm delivered a presentation addressing key considerations in accessing patent validity in Korea, as well as practical approaches for protecting trade secrets.

The seminar was co-hosted by the Pudong Sub-center of the National Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response Guidance Center and the Dacheng Intellectual Property and Technology Innovation Committee. Attracting over 500 participants both in person and online, the seminar brought together IP professionals from Chinese enterprises to in-depth discussions on a wide range of intellectual property topics.

Representing Lee International, Ms. Yoon-Sook Shin (Senior Patent Attorney) and Mr. Dong-Hwan Kim (Attorney-at-law) shared practical insights through case studies, focusing on patent validity challenges and strategies for addressing trade secret issues. The presentation was followed by a lively Q&A session and networking opportunities, fostering meaningful engagement with local participants.
