According to the GDPR, personal data are all information which is related to an identified or identifiable natural person (Article 4, Paragraph 1) and include age, name, location data, date of birth, gender, account data and medical information.
The collected personal data will be processed only to the extent allowed by law and required for Lee International to adequately provide its legal services under its contract with you by satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Such data processing will be done in accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR. If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose as permitted under the applicable law, we will notify you and explain the legal basis for such use. Please note that where we need to collect personal data by law or under a contract executed between you and Lee International, we may be unable to perform our services to the fullest extent if you fail to provide the required data.
We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected them and/or to comply with applicable laws.
As a data subject, you have the right to:
Withdraw consent at any time in which case we will not be allowed to continue the data processing which is based on this consent and thus provide our services as initially agreed (Article 7);
Request access to your personal data and receive a copy of the personal data collected and ensure lawful processing thereof (Article 15);
Request correction of your personal data which may be incorrect or incomplete (Article 16);
Request erasure of your personal data, unless we are unable to delete such data for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you (Article 17);
Request restriction of processing of your personal data and suspend the processing if (a) you contest the accuracy of the data and would like us to verify it; (b) the processing is unlawful but you do not wish to erase the data; (c) you need us to retain the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims even if we no longer require it; or (d) you have objected to the processing under Article 21 (to be discussed below) but we need to verify whether we have compelling legitimate grounds to override your objection (Article 18);
Request transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party in a structured, standard and machine-readable format (Article 20); ;
Object to processing of your personal data on grounds relating your particular situation in which case we will no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing (Article 21); and
File a complaint with the applicable authority (Article 77)
We do not share your personal data with any third parties without your prior consent.
We have implemented appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized, unlawful or accidental access, processing, loss, alteration, disclosure and use.
We may use your personal data for sending you updates on legal developments or invitations to events you may be interested in, if you have requested, via email and/or postal.
