Chang-Kyu Kim is currently serving as a head of the mechanical team. Mr. Kim has extensive experience prosecuting patent applications before the Korean Intellectual Property Office, in the technical fields of mechanics and metallurgy. He has managed patent cases relating to auto parts, semiconductor manufacturing devices, displays, nanotechnologies, MEMS, medical devices, sports equipment, alloys and alloy manufacturing devices for years. He has significant experience in providing infringement analyses and prior art searches for patent infringement cases in Korea and abroad. He represents foreign and domestic clients in invalidation trials, correction trials and confirmation-of-scope trials before the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB), the Intellectual Property High Court and the Korea Supreme Court.

Mr. Kim graduated from Yonsei University (B.S., mechanical engineering, 1997) and Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Law (LL.M, 2002). He is fluent in English and has working knowledge of Japanese. He is a board member of AIPPI Korean group.
